Snake Farm Rebrand

Snake Farm is a road side attraction and accredited zoo located in New Braunfels Texas. In this project me and my group gave this American gem a complete rebrand. We created a new logo, merch, website, and posters. since Snake farm is known for its large collection of serpents the animal was crucial to our project.

Group Mates:

Robert Robinson: Logo, Branding, Research

Jezrie Brown: Leader, Posters, Web

Zain Fernandez: Copy writing, Logo, Ideation

Jordan Mason: Branding, Research, Deliverables

Research

The research portion of this project was extensive, as our group shared a deep respect for the establishment and was careful to preserve all the elements that make Snake Farm great. Below is the SWOT analysis, the brand voice, the Brand Pillars, and the brand personality. We focused heavily on the feel of the place and the emotions we had when we went there as children.

Branding

The branding process took a bit of time, just due to my group's different design styles. I personally created the logo from the sketches Zain drew. Zain then went on to get the typography set. The color palette was also created by Zain and Jez. We went with a very elementary color palette so the colors seem more friendly to families and children. We chose something that looked a little animalistic for our typeface, and we used our research to establish a couple of patterns and iconography we would use in our mockups later.

Mock Ups

This part of the project was lots of fun, and it's where Jordan seemed to shine with his key chain design and his feed cups. We used AI to generate the mockups, but we designed the labels. I contributed to the “Anti Venom” juice drink, basing the shape and design on the nostalgic “Bug Juice” my dad would get me on road trips. The posters were a contribution from everyone. I specifically designed the snake one, Jez did the jaguar, and Jordan did the alligator. I absolutely love the vibe we ended on, and I think we created some intriguing items.

Socials & Website

Jez created the website front with Zain but they only completed the front page and it looks really good. Jez and Zain also created the Instagram page for our rebrand featuring animals and zookeepers giving demonstrations.
